WIP Wednesday: Binding Antler Dance

Not making much progress  - the upper respiratory crud that's going around has landed here and I'm not feeling very energetic. But I did get the spiral quilting finished on Antler Dance. The binding is attached but not sewn down yet.

Since I finish all my bindings by machine, I attached it to the back and will stitch it down on the front. Hooray for glue basting! I'm hoping to get the binding finished for a Friday Finish this week.

Linking up with Let's Bee Social at Sew Fresh Quilts and WIP Wednesday at Freshly Pieced.

  2. i've never tried glue basting for binding. cool! i hope you feel better soon and get some more time with your projects. some of our little ones have that crud, too, and it's just draining.

  3. I LOVE glue basting bindings! (and stripes when I'm sewing clothes :-) People carry on about the wonder clips, but those just get in the way, in my opinion. Good ole Elmers works perfectly! I've wondered about attaching bindings 'backwards' ~ I actually tried it once on a mini mini quilt, but because I hand sew the bindings down, I wasn't sold on the look (my corners were fantastic though ;-) I'll have to come back and check out the finish (or maybe poke around a bit and find another one... :-)
I hope you feel better soon!
