I include most of the same information you do on the labels. I also have a notebook with all the associated paperwork from a given quilt. I used to hand embroider them, but now I use my embroidery machine. Then I hand stitch them onto the quilt. I wonder, however, about the embroidery floss I use when I hand embroider the label. I've been told it doesn't last on quilts. :)Miaisminehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07657955150576729566noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3264679873028408512.post-31854190114776082672016-11-30T09:10:20.999-07:002016-11-30T09:10:20.999-07:00I am with you about labeling....not my favorite. ...I am with you about labeling....not my favorite. However, I wish that labeling had been something that our quilting ancestors did more frequently. The many antique quilts I have admired could perhaps be researched better with a name.Kevin the Quilterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08408141611525523677noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3264679873028408512.post-65795845898931151812016-11-30T08:53:14.467-07:002016-11-30T08:53:14.467-07:00Hmmmmm! I have resolved to do it more often though, especially when I see your labels, lovely. I especially like how you put it diagonal over the corner.Kate @ Smiles From Katehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17525561534884021883noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3264679873028408512.post-63418129439543418242016-11-30T08:31:06.400-07:002016-11-30T08:31:06.400-07:00I am getting better about labeling my quilts. Your method of adding binding around your label sounds like a great solution for avoiding working with such thick and stiff fabric.Yvonne from Quilting Jetgirlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15705160384198590025noreply@blogger.com
