LCT Flimsy

Actually I wrote a finish post for my Log Cabin Triangles flimsy last week. Then I previewed it to proofread one more time and discovered this. What's wrong with this picture? And why did I not see this when I was editing photos???

Needless to say, I did not click Publish last week.

Fortunately it was an easy fix, so let's try this post again this week. Much better.

I like the white background prints in this one. It makes it different than all the other LCT quilts I've made that had ivory and beige low volume prints.

At 54" by 72", this is a nice throw size.

Now I need to order backing for it. I'll spiral quilt it like all my other LCQ quilts.

I'm hoping to share this pattern with my PCQ friends. Meanwhile if you'd like to make LCT blocks for any charitable purpose, the tutorial is here: LCT Block Tutorial

  2. I'm glad it was an easy fix. Some quilts just ask we spend a bit more time with them, I suppose. :)

  3. Thank goodness you caught it - I was looking at the sky, the wall - thinking there was an animal in your photo or something!! Still love your pattern!

  4. The variety in the fabrics really makes the quilt!

  5. It took me a minute to find the oopsie but I finally did. And how fortuitous that it was close to an edge. It's a great quilt.

  6. Glad you caught the turned block! It took me a minute to find it too. I always have my husband look at my quilt layouts. He can spot a mistake quicker than me. This is a great quilt and is on my long bucket list!

  7. I've been working on a Minecraft quilt for one of my grandsons. I thought I had double checked all the blocks (and found a few that need tweeking), but yesterday as I was sewing rows together, I found another one with misplaced subunits. Argh!
I do like the mix of low volume neutrals used as background. Gives much more texture than using a single WoW or one neutral.

  9. Turned blocks happen to all of us. This is just lovely and I'm sure it will be appreciated.
