I'll look for a bronze solid or very subtle print for the Dresden centers when I'm in Paducah later this month. I want something that's not gold and not tan, but somewhere in between, a camel or ochre shade. It needs to be lighter in value than the reds but not as light as the backgrounds. I'm sure I'll find something there.

ReplyDeleteThis is going to be one gorgeous quilt! Looking forward to seeing it together. Have fun in Paducah.
ReplyDeleteThe blocks look great. I am really a Dresden lover. I like that you did not use one solid piece for the background.
ReplyDeleteI am loving this project. Can't wait to see it finished.
ReplyDeleteGosh, your Dresden is perfect. Have fun shopping for some center fabric!

ReplyDeleteBeautiful blocks! Congrats on staying all caught up.
ReplyDeleteBronze will look so pretty in those centers. Your Dresden is beautifully done. I'm quilting a vintage Dresden right now, and it interests me that she did 19 blades in hers. I wonder if she just did that, or if it was a correction of mis-cut 20 blades, as the 5" centers are somewhat wonky. I love vintage quilts!
ReplyDeleteSounds like you will be on a mission in Paducah! The blocks are so pretty.
