Lately comments that readers have left on my posts have not been coming into my email as usual. If you have left a comment recently and I haven't replied, this is why. I'm sorry.
A couple years ago when this was happening to a lot of Blogger users, the solution was to "subscribe to comments for this blog." I've searched around in Settings and the option to send comments to email is turned on and the mail address listed is correct.
I don't know if this is related, but one of my followers who subscribes to my blog by email stopped receiving posts in July and then suddenly got one huge email with all the posts from July 10 to late September. How could that happen? Now it seems fine and because she gets my blog by email, I'm getting her comments in my email. But not comments that are left by others who subscribe via other means.
Is anyone else having trouble like this? Is this just another hiccup with the new version of Blogger?
If anyone has a suggestion for how to fix this, please let me know.
I haven't noticed a problem. Yours are coming to my email. I do have one reader whose comments don't come to my email but I think she has chosen that option on her end. I can usually tell when she comments because the count is one over the number of emails I have received! I do check the count at least once on a post just to be sure I haven't missed anyone.
ReplyDeleteI haven't had any issues on this so far . . .
ReplyDeleteThere are a few people whose comments do not come through to me. I need to read them on my blog. Lately I've been having the comments that do come to my email go to my spam folder. I've never had that happen before now. Hopefully they will get all of these glitches worked out soon.
ReplyDeleteaol and yahoo comments don't come through and never have but I get the rest. Sometimes you have to go in remove the email address you want the comments sent to, Save, close that section, go back in and add in the same email you had there and Save and then it works.
ReplyDeleteSo frustrating! You can always go to the Comments link on the left side of the Blogger window to see any new comments, but that isn't nearly as convenient as having them show up in email. At least you would know the comments are coming in, though. I'm sorry this is happening to you, Jan.
ReplyDeleteI found that one of my readers had commented on a post, but the comment hadn't come through to my email. I just happened to notice it when in the comment section deleting one of those horrible spam comments. We never did figure out what happened. Worse still... I have no way of know how many others were lost on the information super highway which is the internet! :o((
ReplyDeleteFor my last blogpost, many comments ended up in the Junk folder. This had never happened before.
ReplyDeleteGo back into your Settings and remove your email address, save and exit out of Settings. Then go back in and put your email address back in, save and exit and then your emails should start to go to your email once again. I've had to do this a few times this past year.
