The baby quilt for my newest great-nephew Carter is finished and has been sent off for the new family to enjoy.
My niece mentioned that the baby's room is decorated in teal and white. I hope she likes this - she's a decorator involved with real estate so she has an eye for style. This quilt doesn't scream Baby so Carter can grow with it, drag it around as a toddler, use it for a kindergarten nap blanket, etc.
The quilting is simple SID through the seams and continuing across all the hexies. It's not too dense so the quilt has a nice soft drape.
A fast and fun finish, and now it's Carter's.
Love it. How big are your hexies?
ReplyDeleteit's such a simple, but very fun quilt. You did a great job picking the fabrics, it's very soothing on the eyes.
ReplyDeleteThe quilting is just right and I like how the backing and binding are one of the focal prints from the quilt top (and are a perfect way to use up a fabric gifted by a friend). I hope Carter enjoys it for years to come.
ReplyDeleteLove how you quilted the bay quilt
ReplyDeleteOh heck ya!! that is amazing and will be loved for many years!!
