FG Baby Quilt Progress

A picture post...

All the geese are made. I made additional stripey ones so
I can use only the ones that go in this direction.

First layout:
What I need to change:
1) Move the teal so the flat side isn't along an edge
because there will be a narrow teal border.
2) Separate the orange and the brown so they're more scattered.

Final layout:
Much better!

  1. Do you make your flying geese 4 at a time or some other method? Love your quilt, colors and layout.

  2. Geese are good!!! I really love how you played with the design until it was right for you! Such a beautiful quilt!!

  3. Oh, I like the adjusted layout and definitely love the puzzle of getting a quilt top pieces just so. You are making quick progress on this one!

  4. So cute! I really like those pops of orange.

  5. This is going to be one lovely baby quilt! Interesting to see your process. I always find it interesting that some small layout changes can effect the overall design so much.

  6. Lovely colour mix. I envy your patience with all those flying geese. It's lovely.

  7. Your quilt is coming along so nicely.....and it's adorable!

  8. Your geese look great! Love the colors and fabric you used.

  9. You are the best! Your geese kept their points! Wow! I'm so impressed! My geese feel sad because they sometimes lose their points... At first I was in love with your layout in the first photo, and then I fell in love with your last layout! Beautiful job!
