LCT top for QOV, 63" x 81"
The block is Log Cabin Triangle, and I posted a tutorial for it earlier this week. It's the featured block for Alycia's block drive for Quilts of Valor. Check it out, it's easy, and I hope you'll make some blocks.
Log Cabin Triangle blocks
Knowing how much yardage I cut of the colors and going by the EQ estimate of the neutrals, this top used 7-3/4 yards of fabric. I'll admit, there was a lot of cutting. I used strips of just about all the different fabrics in my neutral stash, and completely used up a few fat quarters.

63x81 and used up almost 8 yards of fabric? Awesome! It turned out beautifully and I really like the offset of the design.
ReplyDeleteSo cute! It has more depth than you would think at first glance.
ReplyDeleteI just love this quilt!! It is fresh, bold, and simple. I really want to make one. And I love scrappy.

ReplyDeleteThis looks awesome. I love the texture from the low volume log cabins.
ReplyDeleteThat is a great design! It looks like you could make a completely different quilt if you put the blocks together another way. I'm planning to make some of these blocks for Alycia's block drive, so thanks for the tutorial as well.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful quilt, I love it too. Thanks for the tutorial. Blessings, Gretchen villacrestfarm@gmail.com
ReplyDeleteThis is beautiful! I've been inspired to make some blocks to send along for her quilt block drive.
ReplyDeleteIt's a lovely quilt. You handled the neutrals extremely well. They give variety but don't interfere with the color pattern. Congrats!
ReplyDeleteA great quilt for using up stash fabrics. The quilt turned out beautifully.
