What's Wrong with This Picture?

My Four Patch Shuffle top is completely sewn. Not until I laid it on the table with the pattern did I see the error. Grrrrr...

Do I rip out every seam in the entire top to rotate the blocks that are turned the wrong way? Or do I redo all the graphics in the tutorial, all of which are based on the layout in the EQ image?

  1. I suppose it depends on if you like the way the quilt top looks. If you like the quilt top, it is probably easier to update the graphics than it is to undo and redo all the seams!

  2. Change the graphics. The quilt looks fine. Nancy in Washington state.

  3. Oh dear, that’s a royal pain to fix! I’d probably just start all over with new pieces rather than rip for hours! I really like the design as you originally intended.

  4. Yeah, I would rip it out. That sucks completely. You need wine

  5. Why not tell the participants that the handout has one layout and you did an alternate layout to show it can be done more than one way.

  6. And by the way I can't see what is wrong with your layout.

  7. It is a great alternate layout so go with it. Great pattern.

  8. I had to look really hard to find the error. I'd redo the graphics, the quilt looks great as is.
