Quilty Orphan Adoption

Cynthia Brunz over at Quilting is More Fun than Housework is hosting a spring Quilty Orphan Adoption event, and I have some blocks that need adopting.
Quilting is more fun than Housework

Criteria: You can use them for any purpose. All I ask is that the blocks get made into something, not just stashed in a  drawer. I would love it if you'd send me a photo of the finished project.

Shipping: I will mail them to you within the continental U.S. at my cost.

How and when Adoptions will be awarded: If more than one person wants one of these items, I'll draw names for them. Adoptive parents will be notified on Thursday March 22.

Instructions:  Each item is named in the photo. Leave a comment mentioning the name of the item you want to adopt and be sure to include your first name and email address in your comment.

leftover from a shop BOM

Autumn Alternate Blocks, 5 blocks, finish 12"

Might be interesting to cut them up and
reconfigure them.

Pastel Plus Dash Blocks, 4 blocks, finish 14"

Batik Star Blocks, two blocks, finish 12"

I'm looking forward to sending these to new homes. For other Quilty Orphan Adoption items offered by other quilters, check out the links at Quilting is More Fun than Housework

  1. Don't tempt me Jan. I see an orphan block quilt in Orange and purple :)

I am sure they will all find a home. Lots of ways these blocks can be used. Thanks for participating in the event!

  2. I would love the Chinese New Year block and templates. I'm smitten by New York Beauty blocks. I've made two quilts using them (same specific NYB both times) and I'm eager to branch out and try variations. Thanks for the opportunity! 4. I would love working the Plus Churn Dash blocks into a quilt. I have been trying to find a plus sign quilt pattern that I really liked (I know, I am lagging behind the trend, but that is the way I roll) and I really like that design.

    Have a lovely day.

  8. I have a fun idea on how to use the Pastel Plus Dash blocks for a quilt that I would most likely donate to the Hands2Help challenge. Thank you for the chance to turn your blocks into a finished project!

  9. The Autumn Alternate Blocks would be great to cut up and reconfigure to use in my current crumb block design. I am using up my orphan blocks for this. The Black, White, and Bright blocks would also work for this if you didn't mind the adoptive parent cutting them up.

  10. I would love to have Pastel Plus Dash blocks. It's for me because I only have 3 quilts that I've made for myself. I've made most of my quilts for family or charity.

  11. I would love to have the Autumn Alternate blocks. I am making a sampler quilt and these would go nicely with what I am using. Thank you for your giveaway.

  12. You have a real pretty assortment of orphan blocks. I hope you found homes for all of them. I'm putting some of my orphans into backings or giving them to one of my quilt guilds for our monthly charity sews.

  14. I'd love the Black, White, and Bright or the Pastel Plus Dash Blocks to turn into a raffle quilt for my quilt group to raise funds to build a building to make even more charity quilts. kthurn(at)bektel(dot)com

  15. I would love to have the Batik Star Blocks, Pastel Plus Churndash, and/or the Black white and Bright blocks. One of the many things our ministry does is to make 18" quilts to wrap around small stuffed animals for police, firemen, and counselors to give to traumatized children. These blocks would make a great start for some of those quilts.
