My Log Cabin Triangle blocks are now a finished flimsy. I like it. All that low volume negative space will definitely lighten up the dark hallway where I want to hang this.
I'll spiral quilt it as I have the other LCT quilts I've made, with the spiral starting in the center of the gold diamond. The result will be much more modern than the khaki and hunter green bear paw quilt I have hanging in that space now.
This is a fast and easy pattern. If you're interested, click on the 2016 QOV block tab above for the tutorial.
I've made two-color versions and three color versions, and both are effective. My first was blue and magenta. My QOV version was red-white-blue and gold. Wouldn't a Log Cabin Triangles quilt be cute in turquoise and coral with white-based low volume logs? Or cranberry and charcoal, with pale grey logs. It would work in sports team colors, too. Border optional.

ReplyDeleteThis one is definitely on my to-do list! I need a new queen size quilt for a guest room that has periwinkle blue/violet walls and this should work up quickly. Thanks for sharing the pattern
ReplyDeleteI was wondering if you would use spiral quilting; it will be a lovely update to your hallway. :)
