Sandy Sent Photos

My friend Sandy - an outstanding long arm quilter - has been working on my WIGSP and my Corona Medallion.

She moved out of state a couple years ago, but whenever we drive to Florida we pass through her town and get to see her. The plan was for her to work on my quilts and we would pick them up on the way home from Florida on the 17th. Well, hurricane Sally cancelled our trip, but Sandy has my quilts finished and she sent photos.

WIGSP was a Piecing Group project hand pieced by many friends over several years. Here's a tease of the quilting at the center of the quilt, where the colors in the hexies are the lightest. She quilted a different motif in each hexie and continuous curves in the black triangles. Exactly what I was hoping for and I love it!

Sandy does only custom quilting, no pantos. I am beyond thrilled with what she's done for my Corona Medallion.

Sandy's sister is coming to STL soon and will bring these quilts; I'll meet up with her to get them. I can't wait to get them back and see them live!
