Stash Report: Purchases with a Purpose

One of my goals this month is to finish collecting the fabrics for my Aussie print version of Positivity from my book Cut and Shuffle Quilts. I have successfully met that goal. Hah! That means fabric has been added to the stash. Here's the entire palette, including new Kona black (2-1/4 yds) and six more new colors of Moda Grunge (1-1/2 yds). The Aussie print is from M&S Textiles.

I do have a finish (more tomorrow) so I can count out backing (1-7/8 yds wide-back) and binding (5/8 yd).

So, IN this week, 3-3/4 yards.
OUT this week, 2-1/2 yards.

Still moving in the wrong direction, and even a finish didn't help. Just gotta keep plugging away for more finishes! Oh, and quit buying...

The Aussie version of Positivity will be for a class sample to hang in a local shop. There's a deadline, so I have to get busy on it! For your easy reference, here's what the original Positivity looks like.

  1. I'm moving in the wrong direction too, if it helps any. You are not alone!

  2. The fabrics for your sample quilt are gorgeous - will be interesting to see it in different colors.

  3. Hopefully what just came in, will go right back out.

  4. Don't you just love Grunge? So useful--I love every color so when I see it I just have to walk away...

The class sample looks so cute! You'll fill that class easily.
