Finished except for the sleeve.
78" x 90"
Using all Kaffe Fasset and Batik prints for the Flying Geese,
this quilt's working name was KBFG,
but I have remaned it Seasonal Migration
for the way the geese fly north and south.
46 different fabrics used in the top, plus the backing, plus the binding.
I'm keeping this quilt for myself.

Thanks for sharing, it is just fabulous!
ReplyDeleteIf I'd made this quilt I think I would keep it for myself, too! It's beautiful. I like the strippy effect you created by using black background for some of the geese.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on the finish, Jan. The black binding frames it so well. Since you are adding a hanging sleeve, do you plan to hang it to have on display in your home, or is it practical because you plan to enter and show the quilt?
ReplyDeleteA wonderful quilt. I too would be tempted to keep this on.
ReplyDeleteThis quilt would stay in my home, too! It's beautiful. Great finish.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see this one in person! The more fabrics in a quilt top, the merrier! LOL
ReplyDeleteIt's definitely a keeper! Congrats on a beautiful finish.
ReplyDeleteThis is gorgeous, definitely a good one to keep. Great quilt hanger too.
ReplyDeleteYep, it definitely turned out fabulously! I was looking at your Emerald BOM in the last post, too - love your supplement fabric for the alternate blocks!
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful design! I can imagine it with black/white backgrounds and brights.....hmmmm....
