Pup Top Two

I didn't like Pup Top One because I thought it had too many light pieces in it, and the proportions were too regular, even, and boring.

So I thought I would try again to feature the cute pup print with the leftover blue and taupe strips.

This time there's not enough contrast. Sigh. Oh, well, these are donation quilts for babies or kids, it doesn't matter that they're not the most artistic.

I'll try to get some outdoor photos of them when they're quilted and finished. At least the colors will look better than in these dull indoor photos.

  1. I really like #2....the leftover blue & taupe strips help the pup print squares come forward and shine. Almost like the are hovering over a tile floor. Perhaps not what you envisioned in your minds eye, but very nice!!

  5. Not all quilts have to be over the top, especially when they are meant to be cuddled with. Some child will feel loved wrapped up in them:) We are our own worst critic!

  7. Both will make a little boy smile. They'll probably spend more time looking at each fabric then they will admiring the quilt from afar. Congrats on the two finished flimsies.

  8. I am sure both will be appreciated and loved. It's wonderful you were able to get two quilt tops out of the fabric.
